- Matt Suda ran a strong debut marathon in Columbus, Ohio last October, clocking a 2:27:40. This time ranked Matt 16th in Canada in 2013. Matt won the Springbank Half Marathon last year and has finished at the front of the pack in many local races.
- Kyle O'Neill placed 6th at the 2013 Canadian Cross Country Championships, qualifying to represent Canada at the North America, Central American, and Caribbean (NACAC) Cross Country Championships this year. Kyle has previously represented Canada at the 2010 World University Cross Country Championships.
- Leslie Sexton won the 2013 Columbus Half Marathon in 1:13:13, ranking her 10th all-time among Canadian women on record-eligible courses. Leslie represented Canada at the 2013 Chiba Ekiden relay in Japan and the 2012 Bolder Boulder International Team Challenge. She will join Kyle in representing Canada at the NACAC Cross Country Championships this year.
- Steve Weiler founded the London Runner Distance Club in 2006. Since then, he has become a leader in the London running community, hosting the Runners' Choice London Distance Series, working as race director for the London Honda Road Race Series, and coaching Matt, Kyle, Leslie, and many others to personal bests and strong performances.
Proceeds from this event will help to send London Runner athletes Leslie Sexton and Kyle O'Neill to represent Team Canada at the NACAC Cross Country Championships on February 22nd in Trinidad and Tobago. This is a self-funded trip (estimated cost $1,500 each) and these two exceptional local talents need your fundraising help to get there!
